• Paris (Day Two)

    Today in France ☀️ 16 °C

An internal battle upon waking this morning; luxuriate in this unbelievably comfortable bed or catapult into the day. Sigh, I'll sleep when I'm dead, it's Paris for crepe's sake.

Downstairs for an incredibly modest breakfast (coffee machine, juice, and mini croissants), that I nevertheless had zero complaints about, and I quickly hit the streets.

Today racked up almost 40,000 steps. I explored Le Marais, Saint Germain, Luxembourg, the Latin Quarter, the Pantheon, the Lourve (exterior), the Eiffel Tower, and honestly an impressive number of other Parisian hotspots. I definitely didn't expect to cover as much ground as I did in one day, nor did I expect to enjoy Paris as much as I did.

Flat and easy to walk, great public transport, lively but not disgustingly crowded, charming, historical, and laughably gorgeous.

Had a classic soft-hearted eye water walking near the Seine early in the morning, thanking my lucky stars for the health, wealth, privilege, opportunity, and balls to be here.
