Day 1: Met Teopolina on CS. Teo picked me up from Avani Windhoek hotel and Casino and we climbed a small hill to watch sunset. Had dinner near her place.

Swakopmund

Day 2: Teo drove us for 4 hours to Swakop, a German colony. Met Sam Eggar, a Swiss, who loves champagne. Three of us drove to the Dune 7. Sam cheered us from the bottom while Teo and I crawled to the top. Otherworldly views. Ran/slide to the bottom. Drove to the Swakop public beach and went on a nice walk. Sam's daily route. Amazing sunset. Lovely dinner at Sam's recommended resto. Crashed the night on Sam's couch.Read more

Walvis bay

Day 3: Upon Sam's reco, Teo and I booked our boat trip with Laramon tours. Couldn't be happier with this choice.
They picked us up from Sam's place and transferred to a van with others from our group. Upon reaching Walvis bay, our little (fancy) speed boat was waiting for us. And so were the Pelicans. The boat trip that followed would forever be etched in my mind. Oh, how could I ever forget the hungry fish-eating, cuddly and fast swimming seals, the Pelicans that fly onto the boat from everywhere and the lovely people from all over the planet that were sharing this wonderful morning with us.Read more
