Vienne morning

This morning after a slower start and breakfast we set out on a walk with a guide around the town of Vienne. Today is bastille day and it is a public holiday so it was reasonably quiet but we managed to walk around this circular town to find the archaeological Roman ruins. In particular the temple of Augustus and Livia was the best. Eventually we made our way back to the Saint Maurice Cathedral and whilst it was huge it was only on the ‘okay’ list for us compared to all the other ones we have seen. We chose to walk on our own for a while, had a quick coffee and then we managed to hear the town band and watch the official ceremonies. . Certainly the red white and blue looks great. ♥️💙🤍Læs mere
