Paris the Beauty/Garnier Opera

Last night we had a wonderful couple of hours with John Mitchell and his wife Nicole and second baby Hayden. John was our neighbour and Luke's good friend when we lived in Azalea Street, Prospect:). They have lived in Paris for the last five years - working for the OECD and WHO. What a lovely young couple getting the most out of their lives. Nicole gave us a lovely box of Popelini - yummy miniature Paris creamy puffs/eclairs - various flavours and we have decided they are better than macarons! This morning we tried to UBER to the Garnier Opera House but the UBER rejected our request because it seemed very busy. We ended up taking the Metro. The Opera building is magnificent and certainly worth seeing again - and sharing it with the other three. (Photo 3 is looking down to our hotel lobby from our 5th Floor room.
