Departure day morning

We have to check out by midday from our hotel but we are not leaving until about 11 pm tonight so it will be a long day. Craig and I got up early and went for a lovely walk not very far away to see the Luxembourg Gardens. The Luxembourg Palais is now the Senate but the gardens adjacent to it are open to the public and they are magnificent with many statues and lovely flower beds and a couple of lakes with fountains. We actually feel a bit cool this morning. On the way back we also saw the Saint Sulpice Cathedral which is also Gothic but had lovely statues in it and a pop-up confessional. I particularly like the Italian looking pulpit With matching staircase is leading up to it. France and Paris in particular certainly has many beautiful things in it.En savoir plus
