Melbourne escape

I had been really slack planning with booking the ticket on Wednesday, the hotel Friday and then packing the morning of my flight. I had meant to be better behaved but just kept prioritising stupid YouTube 😔. Had some nerves about coming down but Sarah drove me to the airport and helped calm me a bit.

When I got there I did the self check-in which offered me $50 for an exit row seat but I then tried the normal desk and asked if there were any exit rows free and she placed me in one which was nice. There was also an older lady who started talking with me while waiting for about 30 mins about how she came up to help her daughter through a divorce and moving to a new place... I liked the fact that I must seem like an approachable person who people like to talk to, I like that fact about myself.

Flight down was uneventful watching 2.5 episodes of the white lotus. The baggage claim was chaotic and packed but I slightly felt happy being in that situation, I put my headphones on and just bobbed along to a beat until my luggage showed up.

Caught a bus into the city for $35 return and walked to my hotel which is pretty decent in size, has a gym, pool and sauna which I might check out later. I don't think I get breakfast so I headed off to Woolworths to get a week's supplies just in case.Read more
