Short hike after breakfast up to Arthur’s Seat, 250m above sea level. The view wasn’t too good but it was still a nice workout.
Edinburgh castle sits a little above the city and therefore works as nice lookout.
One part of the Hogmanay Festival is the torchlight procession. Therefore, we received torches and marched 1.6km to form two people shaking hands in the end.

This castle is still in use and accommodates the Queen when she visits. Part of the land is also the remains of a church.
Because the weather was so clear today we decided to give Arthur’s Seat another try. On top we were glad we did because the views were a lot better and the sunset was beautiful.
On our way through the Highlands we passed Glen Coe and had a quick photo stop.
