    Begin of the skating tour.

    June 1, 2019 in Germany ⋅ ⛅ 15 °C

Back on the road again? Yes. First we started in Lutherstadt Wittenberg and then we followed the Elbe cycling route. First stop: Torgau. About 72 km to go. My parents and me, we travel for the next 6 days together until we reach Bad Schandau. Then after a little break for one night at home. A few friends of mine and myself go on an Interrail over Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland.Read more

  • The Spirit of the Elbe.

    June 1, 2019 in Germany ⋅ ⛅ 25 °C

The first day is over and after many hours in full sunshine and a sunburn later, we finally arrived in Torgau. After a big and delicious meal, i walked around a little bit and found a historic place. Today was a long trip, but tomorrow will be even harder. The distance is longer, the temperature will be higher and no time out for a day. Yeah, let's roll.Read more

  • Cancel in Riesa.

    June 2, 2019 in Germany ⋅ ☀️ 27 °C

What a pain. Today was like skating in the desert. No clouds, less trees, no shadows and 30 degrees. After 50 km we decide to cancel todays trip and take the train for the rest of the distance. I had to fight against hard pain in my head. But tomorrow we have a break in Meißen and can regenerate our powers for the next trip to Pirna. I end the evening with a relaxing look to Meißen, the Elbe and the Albrechtsburg.Read more

  • Meissen a little review.

    June 3, 2019 in Germany ⋅ ☀️ 26 °C

Meissen is known in history for manufacturing porcelain. We visit the porcelain manufacture with an overview over the history of the factory and they shown us how to build an original of porcelain. It was very interesting. But at first i visit the Albrechtsburg with a beautiful view from a high ground. Tomorrow, we take the next trip to pirna.Read more

  • Refill the stocks.

    June 4, 2019 in Germany ⋅ ☀️ 24 °C

Longer break in Dresden to refill our bottles. When you drive into a city big as Dresden, you know what you not miss all the time. Today we are a bit faster then the other days. If we keep up the speed we will be in pirna in no time.Read more

  • Reaching Pirna.

    June 4, 2019 in Germany ⋅ ☀️ 28 °C

Slowly the landscape is changing. From a flat level to a mountainous level. But we drive along the river and we don't reach the hills. As we arrived in Pirna, we had to kill a little bit of time until we got into our rooms. That means we ate a Soljanka and drank something. Tomorrow, our last trip stand before us. To Bad Schandau.Read more

  • Reaching Bad Schandau.

    June 5, 2019 in Germany ⋅ ☀️ 29 °C

After a relaxing journey, we finally arrived in Bad Schandau. The Elbe cycling route is very good, but there are many people driving on this route and sometimes it was a little bit full on the streets. It was worth to try it, but it is not normal for me to end a trip so early. I'd really wish i can go on until i saw the whole world. Well, my vacation is not over yet. We have time until Friday noon to explore Bad Schandau.Read more

  • Walking in the nature.

    June 6, 2019 in Czech Republic ⋅ ☀️ 23 °C

Take a boat and travel along the Elbe and in no time you are on the Czech border. There was a footpath to a waterfall between big rocks and a river. But we couldn't reach the waterfall without taking a boat. But the time runs out because a thunderstorm was coming.Read more

  • The high ground.

    June 6, 2019 in Germany ⋅ 🌧 22 °C

Great! Lets hurry back to escape the thunderstorm. And then.... Nothing. It is a bit frustrating if you know that you could have more time to spend in the Czech Republic. Well, whatever. This means for me: go to higher point and look over Bad Schandau. It's the first time for me to see a lynx.Read more

  • Finally in Denmark.

    June 8, 2019 in Denmark ⋅ ⛅ 16 °C

Well, it was not easy to get through here. We started at 9 am in Berlin central station. Then to Hamburg and we had to change trains after 3 hours of waiting. We use our free time to get a few fish buns for us. With train, ferry and bus and many hours of sitting we reached copenhagen.Read more

  • Keep going, I'll follow.

    June 9, 2019 in Denmark ⋅ ⛅ 20 °C

Perfect sync. Daniel shows the direction to go an i follow him. I have no idea where we are going. But he guides us (with a town map) from place to place. His job is hopefully easy enough for him, i think. If we lost the track i can put the guilty on him. Tomorrow we will go to Malmö.Read more

  • Visiting Malmö.

    June 10, 2019 in Sweden ⋅ ☁️ 17 °C

Great, we go to Malmö and then there was a bomb threat at the Central Station. Means no trains to come back for many hours. Well, we make the best of the situation. Turning Torso, a tower 190 metres high with an interesting look and a walk through the sea to look to the Öresundbridge. Tomorrow we go to Stabekk.Read more

  • Concert from above.

    June 13, 2019 in Norway ⋅ 🌫 15 °C

We walked around Bergen to get a look of the city. There are the famous wood houses with the small ways. Then we reached a high observation point and we could listen to a few songs of a concert.

  • Climbing lost ways.

    June 14, 2019 in Norway ⋅ 🌫 12 °C

Oh my god, what have i done. If something happens here maybe no one would find me for days. But i want the impression of non touristic routes. More dangerous but more worth to do it.

After a big rain, I'm finally back at the hostel.Read more

  • Art and history in Oslo.

    June 16, 2019 in Norway ⋅ ⛅ 17 °C

Vigelandsparken and FRAM museum. The first one shows many sculptures of humans in different positions and situations. The second one shows the history of the voyages to the North-west passage. At the FRAM you can explore the ships, the cabins of the crew members and the engine rooms. I don't think i would survive long under these conditions. The price of 120 NOK is ok.Read more

  • Skating time.

    June 19, 2019 in Norway ⋅ ⛅ 20 °C

A little trip around the Bymarka nature reservoir. The streets here are not as good as i thought. Not so bad like in Ireland, but more worse as in England or Scotland. Well, seeing the easy and the hard road and taking the hard one.Read more
