    Packing up

    26 Mayıs 2022, Irak ⋅ ⛅ 30 °C

Early in the morning early, my alarm went off, I woke up and packed my luggage, my friend Farhad told me the other night to make it on the terminal by 5:00, I got there and we manged to go to Kerkuk, this was the spot where we gathered with the rest of the group as there was no direct tour from erbil to Baghdad.
The taxi we took was only appropriate for 4 passengers, unfortunately there were 5 of us and there was no enough space to relax, my seat was narrow and awful. Despite the fact, we made it to Kerkuk and we were ahead of time. We waited for one hour until the bus arrived. Then we gathered and resumed the journey.

    26 Mayıs 2022, Irak ⋅ ☀️ 24 °C

I had a seat near a family 👪, they were quite friendly. In front of me there is a baby who wants to play with me, he was gorgeous, his name was San, his father was a good fellow man, he knew a lot about the place we went through each time. Behind me there is a family who all of them are teachers, Kamaran was the child acted person in the bus who used to sing meaningless songs and his wife was an Arabic teacher and she was born in tkrit, an Arabic community. Beside them there were an social science teacher and he was a bit dump and traveled quite a few times. Also a maths teacher and our guide an English teacher, his name was Hawkar and he was a great guy. Too much more, not now 😊Okumaya devam et

  • First day in Baghdad

    27 Mayıs 2022, Irak ⋅ ☀️ 43 °C

After arriving in Baghdad, and resting in the hotel, I went out to see the city, there were many attractions, I had the best breakfast in Iraq called Kahi, it's a dairy domestic product, made of Buffalo milk. It's super delicious and sweet.
Then taking a tour in the grand Bazar of Karx (Baghdad is divided into two parts, left and right, named Karx and sarafa, due to the tigris river, the green part of Baghdad is located in the left side.).
You could find almost everything from daily consumption to luxurious stuff.
Then visiting the street of al Rashid which was the most famous at Sadam hussain's time, next Mutanabi street which is where the educated people gather and books are read 📖.
At the end of the day I took a ride in tigris River, it was fabulous.

  • Artificial lake

    28 Mayıs 2022, Irak ⋅ ☀️ 47 °C

After a long journey from the capital Baghdad to el-anbar lake, we made to this beautiful resort at the middle of desert 🏜, it was scorching and hell 🔥, Historian says, the son of the dictator Sadam hussain built this artificial lake at the middle of desert 🏜.
I met a guy, he told me a lot about Arabic culture, he also mentioned that the Arabs tend to throw rubbish everywhere no matter whether it's right to do or not, they in general don't preserve nature, he said.

  • Unexpected

    28 Mayıs 2022, Irak ⋅ ☀️ 38 °C

Never thought about it, we found ourselves in the city of Faluja, yes, Faluja, it's where the USA soldiers were killed by the resistance, in fact this is the most blooded battle in Iraq associated with the USA military. You could see wars waste in many buildings and bridges, bullets were everywhere in the old houses, it was an extreme chaos.
Last but not least, a flat tire on the way home detained us.

    29 Mayıs 2022, Irak ⋅ ☀️ 37 °C

Visiting and exploring the oldest and highest minaret of the Abbasi's empire in the city of Sammara, despite the scorching environment yet it was fabulous and surely worthed visiting, getting into the city was awful, as the checkpoint was so tight, they even used military dog to search the supplies and bags, after an hour waiting and investigating, we finally made it to the city, being able to reach the peak of the minaret, made me appreciate what human had achieved throughout history, millenia ago.Okumaya devam et
