  • Puerto Escondido Jan. 12 -Feb. 13

    January 12, 2022 in Mexico ⋅ ☀️ 29 °C

Cancun to Puerto Escondido via airplane. Stayed at Paziflora Hostel. Beach time, surfing, rented a Italika FT150 moto. Made a lot of friends and watched the sunset from the surfboard in Carizallio or Bococho Beach everyday. Bococho beach has a baby turtle release everday before sunset which we called the daily seagull feeding. PE is a great place. Non Solo Pizza is the place to eat.Read more

  • Cerritos with the Fam. Feb. 20-24th

    February 20, 2022 in Mexico ⋅ ⛅ 22 °C

Flew to Cabo and met my mom and sister outside the airport. We rented a car and drove up to Cerritos. Mom got us a amazing house for the stay. We surfed the first day. Then went on a whale watching tour the next. We saw so many whales that day, some swam right under the boat. The following day we drove up to La Paz for a guided hiking and kayaking tour. The hike was along the hills and beaches of Balandra Beach. We kayaked and snorkeled around Isla San Juan, which is important island for the ecology of the area. On the return home we were stopped by the police looking for a bribe. I acted like I only had the 900 pesos in my wallet and they took it begrudingly hoping for more. The trip was so fun and the time with my family was great. They left for the home on the 24th and I took a bus to La paz.Read more

  • La Paz Sailing Feb. 27 - Mar. 4th

    February 27, 2022 in Mexico ⋅ ⛅ 21 °C

I took a 7 day live aboard sailing course out of La Paz. The boat was a 46 ft mono-hull with four cabins. There were 5 others students and Captain Abraham. Learned alot, saw alot, and got certified for off-shore sailing. We would stop at different bays each night to drop anchor. Mainly around Isla Espirito Santo. We had descent wind most days. One bay was filled with turtles. Enough that when laying on deck you could listen to them come up for air every minute or so.Read more

  • Chacahua Mar. 11th - 14th

    March 11, 2022 in Mexico ⋅ ☀️ 31 °C

After returning from La Paz I spent about a week in Puerto Escondido. A group of us then traveled to Chacahua. Chacahua is small beach town with an amazing, long right hander wave. We had to take a shuttle, then a taxi, and finally a boat to get to the island/beach. We found a nice room at Afrodita Cabanas. We surfed for three days. Progressed so much on that wave.Read more
