Columbia Icefields

This was the most northern part of our trip. Unfortunately, we couldn’t visit Jasper or explore the rest of the icefields due to the Jasper fire. However, the Athabasca Glacier was absolutely stunning. We hiked up to the base of the glacier, where we were able to marvel at its sheer size and icy beauty up close. Despite the changes to our plans, this part of the journey was still a highlight.

It was incredible to see how much the glacier has shrunk over the last 100 years. The difference is striking and really highlights the impact of climate change. It’s a powerful reminder of the environmental changes happening around us. Czytaj więcej
