We arrived in Rijeka only to be greeted by a violent thunderstorm. Originally, we planned to stay the night on the peninsula, but after the weather hit, we decided to make it a quick stop and continue our journey north into Italy.
The city has an obvious old-world charm, with its worn buildings telling stories of the past, though it seems to be trying to keep up with modern times. That said, the city center didn’t leave much of an impression on me. After a quick lunch, we decided to hit the road and move on.Read more
