Visited Ilhéus, hometown of a famous writer, and stayed at a friend's house. Irene is studying the behavior of monkeys. Her neighbour gave us a ride to our next destination Itacare!
Beautiful town, once very rich by trading Cacao, now poor and depending on tourism. but they have nice Posadas, Hotels, good restaurants and a long beach. Recommended for holidays ;-) And they have a lot of Mango trees!Read more
Well, I hope we don't sink... This was really an adventure, I saw the boat and thought... Ok, our Baggage will drop into the water and drown. Then a motorcyclist arrived an die they started to pack the Motocycle on the small boat... :-) Transportation. Brasilian Style. Great time with good friends. I lost my Credit Card and here I could get money again. And I'm staying here in a house of a friend's father. Thanks Toninho! It's also the place where the first ships of Portugal arrived over 500 years ago and brought Christianity, Slavery, Rasism and Poverty to the Tribes of this land.Read more
