Lago Chapala

Like every year, I had spent one week in Vegas for CES. I left the city in the afternoon and flew with Volaris. It felt so good to take a short vacation right after all the CES mess!

Juan and Octavio were waiting for me at the airport, together with Hugo, Octavio's cousin. One useful thing to know is that Scotia Bank allows you to retrieve money from the ATM with a 3% commission, and that there's one in the airport.

From there we went to the house of Octavio's dad. It's so pretty! Octavio's dad is a musician and the whole house is decorated with music details. Right from there we went to take a walk around Chapala. We walked around the malecon, which has this funny and cute sign that says Rinconcito de Amor (Little Corner of Love), and around downtown, and had dinner at a place called Il Giardino, which wasn't exceptional but had a lovely outdoor area.

We didn't stay up long though, and went home to watch Black Mirror.Read more
