Alaska Highway

You know you’re on your way to Alaska, when - after getting up and driving a bit - the first shop not only serves cinnamon buns (and gas) but also Christmas Cards. Not to mention the Christmas lights (outside of the house; everybody has them).
Although we’re way south than the last couple of days (and yay! It’s warmer again!), it still feels like winter is coming and we’re heading straight forward to meet him. Let’s see what heading north will bring...

Man weiß, dass man auf dem Weg nach Alaska ist, wenn der erste Laden (nachdem wir ein wenig gefahren waren) nicht nur Zimntschnecken (und Benzin! Yey!) verkauft, sondern auch Weihnachtskarten. Nicht zu vergessen die Weihnachtsbeleuchtung (die hier jeder hat. Immer).
Obwohl wir südlicher waren als die letzten paar Tage (und jippie, es ist wieder etwas wärmer!), fühlt es sich immer noch an, als würde der Winter vor der Tür stehen und wir machen die Tür so weit auf, wie es nur geht.
