Last day at Kakadu National Park

In the morning we went to Cahills Crossing and one of the salties came to say goodbye. 🐊
Next we went to the Mamukala wetlands and walked a bit, before heading out of Kakadu National Park. Our last stop at the Arnhem Highway was at Fogg Dam, where there are wetlands as well (when there is enough water), lots of lotus flowers and biiiiig spiders. It was nice to walk and we made it back to the car before the rain started. Then we headed further north.

Morgens gingen wir nochmals zum Cahills Crossing und tatsächlich kam ein Krokodil vorbei um tschüss zu sagen. 🐊 Danach ging es zu dem Mamukala Wetlands Walk um uns die vielen Gänse anzusehen, bevor wir den Nationalpark verließen. Der letzte Stopp am Arnhem Highway war am Fogg Dam, wo man auch durch die Wetlands spazieren kann. Allerdings sind wir am Ende der Trockenzeit / Anfang der Regenzeit und es war nicht wirklich nass. Wir haben aber viele Lotusblumen und riiiiesige Spinnen gesehen. Wir erreichten unser Auto bevor es anfing zu Regnen und dann ging es weiter Richtung Norden. Czytaj więcej
