Day 205/206: Calgary Part 1

Drive time between Winnipeg & Calgary is 13.5 hours; plus, the landscape is Midwest farmland with fields and a few salt flats. We made the journey a single day with podcasts, music, and naps.

We are staying with Kieran’s cousin Kathleen and her husband Dan and daughter Zoey. Their cute house is nestled in northern Calgary with pine trees and hills. Much of Kieran’s family lives in Calgary so we got some tips from cousin David and others on where to visit.

Next day we drove downtown to try Establishment Brewing and Master Beef Hot Pot Restaurant; best hot pot Kieran has had! Next, hit the CN Tower and walked around downtown until a huge storm hit.

Kathleen and Zoey were out of town, but arrived back at 7pm. Zoey made it clear that could snuggle with her dolls this evening. Once she was put to bed, we ordered sushi, had a delicious dinner, and snuggled with our plushies.
