    Coromandel Peninsula

    March 23, 2018 in New Zealand ⋅ ⛅ 29 °C

Visiting Hobbiton was amongst the most important things to do here in New Zealand. And on the way to the Coromandel Peninsula we finally had the opportunity to do so. The 90$ for a tour (not possible to do it self-guided) are quite a lot of money. But seeing this beautifully made film set with all the small details makes it worth the price. Especially as you get a beer for free ;)
At the Coromandel Peninsula we went straight to the Hot Water Beach. A part of the beach where you can dig your own hot water spa pool that's just a few centimetres deep. But that just works well if it's low tide, otherwise you'd have to dig like two metres deep. Which is what Julia did! Unfortunately still no hot water but we still could enjoy it while sitting in the tidal area.
