Today it was relaxed enough to get up at 8 for breakfast and depart at 9 for today's trip leading us further North. We first stopped at several different rock formations, then at another laguna with flamingos. It was nice but similar to the things we had already seen yesterday. A stop in the morning was named "Italiano perdido" because apparently a few years back an Italian tourist had been lost there and never found 🙈 We stayed there for about an hour exploring the rock formations and climbing up for great views. Before lunch we were dropped off at a green valley, named Laguna Negra, opening inmidst of red steep rock formations. Right when we got off the Jeep, we saw a group of Llamas strolling along a little stream. And a little further into the canyon there were a lot! And due to the stream the whole valley was covered in beautiful green 💚 grass standing in stark contrast to the red rocks!

While looking out for birds I saw movement in the rocks on the other side of the stream and encountered a rabbit hopping on the rocks 🐇 It was one of the viscacha, known for their tired/sad facial expression 😁 A little bit later there was another one really close by so I sneaked up on it and took some close up pictures. Encountering wildlife like that is always a highlight! Then we spent almost an hour taking pictures of the Llamas 🦙 with their cute little babies.
Then it was lunch time and they prepared an amazing tasty Shepherd's pie. It was a huge dinner and we only managed to eat half of the portion. Then we continued our way to the Anaconda Canyon with a pretty little overlook. A Mexican said that it looks a bit like the Barrancas del Cobre, just not as deep and green 😁

Our last stop of the day was in the village "Culpina K" for tonight's hostel. We were lucky again to get a room for ourselves and even with a private bathroom. It was still early, so we had a walk through the whole town and stopped at a shop for wine. When we came back to the hostel we exchanged US Dollars to Argentinian Peso with the German couple because they'll be traveling North. Afterwards we were called to tea at the salon where we had a few cookies and a tea. Then we switched to beer and wine and by the time dinner was served I was feeling a bit tipsy 🥴 It was a fun evening together and unfortunately already the last because the German couple stays in Uyuni while we continue back to San Pedro de Atacama.
