Mendoza ⏩ Bariloche

We got up for breakfast and checkout but somehow mixed up the times, so we had only time for a quick snack and then packed our stuff. We stayed a little bit in the lounge area at the top floor to plan our next steps, book our hostel for the night and then headed out for a longer walk.
The goal was the top of a hill about 7km away that lead us again to the park that we had seen yesterday. Today we crossed it and continued on to the hilltop even though it was very hot in the direct sun. Luckily we had cover from the trees for most of the time ☀️ On top is a statue dedicated to the military of the Andes and a little food stall selling smoothies. We definitely deserved one of those and made soon afterwards our way back. We crossed the park and walked back next to the university where we passed a bar/restaurant with lots of pretty cheap offers.
So we decided to have lunch there with a dozen empanadas (the Argentinian ones are supposed to be one of the best) and a litre of beer 🍻 Even though the empanadas were cheap, they were well made and we liked most varieties.

After that relaxing break we needed to go back to the hostel and grab our luggage. On the way to the bus terminal we made a short stop at McDonald's for an ice cream. Then we boarded our next 20 hours bus ride 😁 Unfortunately this time without a proper bed as they were sold out. But at least with big seats and they're called semi beds 🤷‍♂️ Not very comfortable but we'll see if it's sufficient to sleep 💤Read more
