Roanoke Island

We visited the island and the town of Manteo. The island is known as the home of the lost colony. In the 1500s it was the first English colony, but all the residents disappeared and they’re still searching to see what happened.

We toured the downtown, a Christmas Shop, and the Festival Park which had information on the Native American people, colonial life, and a replica of the Ship Elizabeth.Read more
