    Next morning out tracking again, Denise compared her footprint to a big elephant.

    For over an hour, we followed a porcupine track and found it's burrow. The bushmen crawled in and after over an hour of digging underground found where the porcupine was sleeping. They began to dig over the sleeping chamber expecting to find them - hornbill watched on. However, the porcupine was deeper than expected and they decided to leave it until another time as it was getting late. Our long walk back to the vehicle in the midday desert sun was hard work. There were beautiful red wildflowers on the road back to camp.

    In the evening we went down to the waterhole for sundowners to wait and see what came in.
