Galapagos crew

Our naturalist was german but has lived in the Galapagos for over 30 years. Very knowledgeable and passinate about the wildlife and the landscape.

She lives on Florena the oldest island and owns 8 acres about half of which she farms. Lives very simply - very much one with the land!

The bursur (or as the sign to his office said - hotel manager!) Carlos as I mentioned was fantastic - he looked after mum wonderfully. Very attentive and caring. And it was his first time as the bursur - he told mum he was very nervous. A very sweet and gentle person.

The crew were also excellent in getting mum in and out of the zodiac. Miguel the engineer always had a smile and was great with marge.Read more
