I came for a russian christmas in the snow but its the hottest December on record and so no snow. Basically the whole point of this trip was to see the Moscow christmas lights, the Moscow Christmas markets and a snow covered Russia and have a white Christmas.
Big fail. Actually massive fail.
What I am getting is grey cloudy and rainy.
Plus its not even that cold and so my suitcase full of lovely winter gear is just being lugged around while I wear a thin cotton top and lightwear travel pants.
Oh and to make matters worst last year's christmas they had the highest snow levels on record!
Call me lucky.
So will have to come back but as a last minute decision so I get snow! At least I have seen the Moscow christmas lights which are magnificent.
Photos are what it should look like with snow!Read more
TravelerI hear parts of Lapland had no snow last Christmas too. Oh well, at least the decorations look incredible. I can’t believe it was this time last year you were in Aspen with the decorations, it’s gone so quickly !
