Gearing up...

Students and faculty from Longwood University are gearing up for an exciting program in one of Latin America’s most successful nations. While not a rich country, Costa Rica has become a global leader in sustainable development, with a focus on land preservation, energy independence, and green energy. Our travels will take us to some well known locations, like Monteverde cloud forest. But we will all spend a lot of time off the beaten path in order to see the “real” Costa Rica (not just what is for tourists). Students will do and see so much. We hope you will follow our journey. Note, however, that we will not always have strong enough WiFi to post to the journal. Do not be alarmed if you don’t see entries appear each day.
