We are standing in the middle of the world as I write this, at Itiñan, the interactive equator museum. Students are doing some equator experiments as well, for example, experiments with gravity and direction of the spin of water going down a drain.

Interestingly, the original equator monument is in the wrong place because technology did not exist for precision back then. Modern GPS has allowed them to find the correct location.Read more
