Alturas Sanctuary

The group visited an animal rescue center today. Many of the residents will be there for the rest of their lives. They were either pets that were turned in, they were injured, or they were turned over by families who were caught in possession of wild animals. Families can avoid financial penalties if they voluntarily give up the animals. But they can also go to jail. When animals are able to be rehabilitated, they are returned to the wild.Read more
