The journey there

So we packed our bags, loaded up the essentials in carry-on, had lunch and headed off to the airport at 1:30pm. Sat around for a while, then the board said go to international departures, where we had to go through security again. The we sat around a bit more.
Our flight departed at 6:50pm from the Gold Coast and we arrived at 11:40pm into Christchurch, half an hour early! Immigration and baggage was super quick, and we had a very short, like 50m walk to our overnight hotel, the Novatel Christchurch.
