• Day 6 - the final day

    May 21 in Japan ⋅ ☁️ 16 °C

I had a sleep in until 7am. We then did some tetris to pack all of the things we bought. At 8am we went and got breaky. By 9:14 we had checked out, walked to the station and were waiting on the platform for our train.

It was a standing room only for the 40mins on the Keikyu line to Asakusa. Here we put the bags on lockers and set off in the light rain to Kappabashi kitchen street to look for a knife for mum. Once that was acquired, we headed towards the station, we saw a taiyaki place so I got some yummy fresh custard taiyaki. On this walk we also saw a shop selling nice Tanuki, so we finally got one for $60. Leaving there we happened to be walking past my favourite Tonkatsu place. So I stopped and had a yummy and filling lunch. Then we charter course for hubby to get some gluten free food from T's Cafe. We caught a train to the station nearby.

While he was doing that I went on a massive power walk through the light rain to check Daiso's for the supports D needs. No luck. Hubby and I met up then caught a train back to Asakusa. Here we still had an hour or so to kill some we walked the shot engaged, and ended up being close to Don Quixote to grab a few last minute things. We strolled back then found the lockers where we had the bags stashed. Items retrieved and new items packed we went through the gates and jumped on a 14:08 train.

This train had us at Narita at 17:35. We then taped up some bags and walked to terminal 3. Here we had freshness burger for dinner, lawsons ice cream for dessert, and went through the security to the gate at 7:30pm. Boarding was at 8pm.

We were bused to the plane, and then we were first people on the plane. That was a first. We were lucky again and had no one in the centre seat between us. Didn't get much sleep, but smoothly got through immigration and customs in about an hour. Most of this was waiting for bags to come out.
