  • Zadar

    5 Eylül 2024, Hırvatistan ⋅ 🌬 28 °C

We went out early from Dubrovnik with the hope to stop in the Krka National Park as we did some years ago. But unfortunately quite many things changed since then. The park fascinated us due to the amazing waterfalls. You could simply just go swimming surrounded by rocks, small and big waterfalls. 🤿 Now the park is double as expensive as before (ok, understandable) but you cant go swimming anymore. You just can book boat tours. We understand it should be much better for the ecosystem but it lost the magic and became just commercial.

Therefore we went straight to Zadar, where we spent the afternoon getting lost in the small streets and eating nice treats. 🍡 The city didn’t change much in comparison to the last time (7 years ago). It’s still small, cozy and offers a lot of nice restaurants and bars.

Of course we ended up by the sea organ, to listen the nice tones from the sea. But we unfortunately couldn’t see the sunset, as the sky was cloudy. We managed to reach our Airbnb and after the storm started ⛈️

  • Queen Beach - Nin/Zadar

    6 Eylül 2024, Hırvatistan ⋅ ☀️ 26 °C

To enjoy the full last vacation day we decided to go to a nearby beach. The Queens Beach is located in Nin, a small city 20min from Zadar. We decided to go there as the beach is very flat and has basically no waves, what’s great for the kids. Next to there are several small lagoons where kids can just play as well.

Arriving there, we were mesmerized by the view of the mountains! Such a great panorama. We paid 7€ for the parking place and you can also rent chairs/sunshades for 20€ or bring your own things. The water wasn’t so warm as expected but i guess in the region, the water is indeed much colder than Dubrovnik or the beaches in the south. The kids had anyway lots of fun 💦

  • Sunset @Zadar

    6 Eylül 2024, Hırvatistan ⋅ ☀️ 26 °C

For our last evening we of course wanted to see again the nice sunset in Zadar by the sea organ. Sunsets are always amazing but the one in Zadar is really special with the whole atmosphere and the nice sounds in the background.

It was very crowded but even so calm and relaxing. A nice end for our long road trip. 🚙 tomorrow we start our way home.
