    March 26, 2023 in Germany ⋅ 🌧 6 °C

Every weekend, I'm reading the ExtraTip, a free newspaper of Göttingen. Every other week or so, they give away tickets for something. Last week, they raffled off tickets for the charity art gala. Knowing nothing about it, I immediately filled out the form. And see there, the next day I got an email with a confirmation about me winning the tickets. I could pick them up at the box office.
As my mother couldn't go to this horrific musical with me, naturally, I asked her if she wanted to go with me. Unfortunately, she had to work. But no worries, I just asked my best friend. As I know her very well, Sina immediately said yes, and we've got ourselves a date.
I'm usually not a person that puts makeup on and dresses up, but tonight, I just had the urge to throw over my favourite dress and feel pretty. When Sina arrived, she stated that she felt a bit under-dressed. That's usually my feeling when I meet, with whatever friend, to whatever occasion. So I just enjoyed being nicely dressed at least once. Seb was kind enough to drive us to the Deutsches Theater, as it rained heavily. After a bit of confusion, we found our tickets and entered the premises. A lot of older, culturally looking people (what does that even mean?) were waiting for the show to begin, and I just hoped that it wouldn't get too boring. Honestly, it was a blast!
It was a great variety of music (oh dear Dirty Old Town), dancing (cr!sis was phenomenal), comedy (Comedy Company was hilarious!), and acrobatics. I felt highly entertained and culturally relieved. I actually think, I could do such things more often.
