Oregon smells so good! I woke up early and was hiking by 6:00 because today is supposed to be even hotter than yesterday. This morning the light is so pretty and i keep getting smells of pine trees and lemon 🍋. I think the lemon comes from a type of pine. Today's terrain was relatively easy, rolling hills in forest but my feet are still hurting me. I need to take a break every 5 miles or so to take my shoes off and stretch. Is this just part of it or can my feet hurt less somehow?! Tonight I am camping by a shelter but outside of it in my tent. The shelter has a very large resident rat.
