  • Sunset

    21. September 2015 in den USA ⋅ ☀️ 14 °C

I drive up to the top of Cadillac Mountain to see the beginning of the sunset. I didn't stay for the whole thing because I was child and tired, but even this pictures were beautiful.

  • Saco river

    22. September 2015 in den USA ⋅ ⛅ 17 °C

I arrive to meet my host, Becky. She tells me that there is a nice path down to the river on her property. Shortly after I get there these guys arrive. The black lab, Hitch, and the boxer, Molly, were so cute playing in the water. I sat around waiting for their owner to show up and nothing. I walk back to my host's house and they follow me. Finally I realize they are lost and apparently it happens often since they have phone numbers stitched into their collars. After several messages I make sure the dogs get home safely. They were a lot of fun to hang out with.Weiterlesen

  • Sunset

    22. September 2015 in den USA ⋅ ⛅ 15 °C

I was helping out around the house and my host stopped me to watch the sunset. It was great. It only lasted like two minutes, but I'm so glad she pointed it out to me. I almost missed it.

  • Climbing Mt Washington

    23. September 2015 in den USA ⋅ ☀️ 14 °C

I started at Pinkham Notch. I hiked Tuckerman Ravine trail, then Lion's Head all the way to the very top. I felt like I was doing lunges the whole way up on the very rocky trail. I even talked to someone that said that he's hiked 18 miles in one day off the AT, which felt the same as doing 4 on the mountain.Weiterlesen

  • Dartmouth

    24. September 2015 in den USA ⋅ ☀️ 20 °C

I thought it would be cool to visit another Ivy League school. Plus two of my friends went there. I went on the tour and learned mostly about the academics though. They do have some cool classes to choose from and interesting alumni, like Dr. Seuss.Weiterlesen

  • Ben and Jerry's factory tour

    24. September 2015 in den USA ⋅ ☀️ 20 °C

While in Vermont, you must visit the famous ice cream factory. I went on the tour and I was not even close to impressed. They had a few cute cow jokes, but paying to watch a movie, then see the factory machines that were down for maintenance and finally getting my free sample of Orange cream, it just wasn't worth it to me. Especially posting for that flavor. Yucky! I had to throw it out. Ice cream that doesn't have chocolate! The only part that was really cute was the ice cream graveyard behind the factory.Weiterlesen

  • Battle of 1775

    27. September 2015 in den USA ⋅ ☀️ 19 °C

Just by chance we found out that there was a war reenactment. It was between the French and the British. Now I can check it off my list of things to see. I keep finding out how many battles there were and how strangely they were fought because of weapon inaccuracy.Weiterlesen

  • Luigi

    28. September 2015 in den USA ⋅ ⛅ 19 °C

It was great staying with Crystal. It felt just like old times. We watched The Intern and went shopping. The most entertaining new thing to me was her cat. He just wanted to snuggle for days. He was constantly looking for attention, mostly from Crystal, but he settled for me when she wasn't around. It was really funny.Weiterlesen

  • Hershey

    30. September 2015 in den USA ⋅ ☁️ 20 °C

I got up early, mostly so I didn't get towed, and headed over to Hershey world. Both Carrie and Mike warned me that I would most like be disappointed and they were totally right. It was a lame ride that told you how chocolate was made. I was liking forward to seeing the factory. I got my free candy and headed out.Weiterlesen

  • Harley Davidson

    30. September 2015 in den USA ⋅ ☁️ 20 °C

Apparently there are a lot of factory tours to take in this area and I was all for it. The movie intro for Harley was kinda boring and they had to work out the quirks for the audio during the tour of the actual factory, but it was interesting to see. There was no photography allowed inside, but I saw the sheet metal get pressed and the automated orange carts that brought the bikes everywhere. It was also interesting to find out that California was not considered shipping domestic because of all the emission standards that they had to adjust for to still to the area.Weiterlesen

  • The capital

    30. September 2015 in den USA ⋅ ☁️ 21 °C

I visited the state capital. It prides itself on quoting Teddy Roosevelt that " it is the most handsome building I have ever seen." The artwork inside is immaculate and I'm kicking myself in the butt for not getting a better picture of this one particular painting that they pointed out.Weiterlesen

  • My birthday

    1. Oktober 2015 in den USA ⋅ ☁️ 13 °C

I didn't take this pic obviously, but on my drive out I did manage to see this fake 25 foot tall statute of liberty. I made sure to get my free meal at Denny's. I treated myself to a little shopping and then my free sub at Subway. Finally I made it to Pittsburgh to meet my host Mike.Weiterlesen
