    Walk back

    I started to walk back and enjoyed the great colors with the sun setting. These were some if my sights along the way. When I finally reached Dan's house I had walked 16 miles and I was exhausted. He treated me to dinner at super duper burger in the Castro neighborhood. Good food and I got to see the area where gay pride kinda started.En savoir plus

    Half Moon Bay

    I went with the other couchsurfer to walk at the marine refugee. We met a nice man and he showed us around for a while. We saw some seals in the water and pet almost every dog along the way.

    Boat life

    We went back to the sailboat and hung out until Jonathan, our host, arrived. He was super cool and we had a good meal and drinks together. I'm glad I got to experience living in the boat.

    Natural bridges

    I went to this state park to look at the natural bridge. It was cool to look at, but the rocks out there was much more interesting. The designs were very unique. They also had a butterfly trail that muddy have had thousand hanging out together. That was really cool.En savoir plus

    Boardwalk and stuff

    I headed downtown to check out the boardwalk. I got distracted by the wharf and the sealions just hanging out there. Then I walked to the boardwalk and casino area. It was kinda dead out there. I was told it was cooler to look at when it's dark outside, but I wanted to head out to my new host, Michael, in Monterey.En savoir plus

    Big Sur

    I started my day driving south. I made down to a park and found out that Big Sur is actually a 90 mile stretch of coastline. I hiked a path that crossed a small river and ended up getting my feet soaked. It was pretty and I got to watch a few surfers. I drove up to Carmel-By-The-Sea and made a few stops to take pictures.En savoir plus

    Monterey aquarium

    I got to go to the aquarium for free all in thanks to my host. I was able to use his neighbor's membership pass. It was so busy there, but nice to see the watery world. I checked a bunch out and watched a few of the movies. I might be returning tomorrow to see it with less people there.En savoir plus

    Yosemite

    I got to Ryan's house, my new host, the night before. He suggested I do the falls trail. It was nice, however I was totally unprepared. I did get to see a coyote. And the sunset was great.

    Erin and Butchie

    I got to meet Erin, my host, the night before and we got do some much needed girl talk. I was supposed to go to Sequoia national park, but the weather was so so and I decided to hang out at her place. I took her dog Butchie for a walk and watched movies. Relaxing. I made dinner and we played crabs against humidity. Fun fun times.En savoir plus

    Cal and I went to a wine tasting because I sold my great facial expressions to him. He had to see it and was I didn't disappoint. He posted the video to my Facebook page. He couldn't stop laughing.

    Santa Claus beach

    I went over to this quiet beach to walk around and watch the sunset. It was pretty and right next to the train tracks. It was a little too cold and windy to stay outside and watch it go down. I had to keep jumping out of my car to take pictures. Once it went down I headed to my new host, Aaron, house. We had dinner talked about travel and made commentaries over tv shows.En savoir plus

    Channel islands

    I wanted to check out this cool park. I watched the introduction video there and it seemed so cool. Then I found out that it costs $60 to go to an island and decided it was for another trip. They did sell me on coming back and diving at the islands at a later date. I left there and went to Nate's house, my new host. I met Dory as well. They were so super nice to me while I was a bit sick.En savoir plus

    It's about time

    I went out with Dory to see if I might but new Uggs. They have lasted 12 years and I caved and bought a new pair. Then we headed over to have my first and probably only experience with in and out burger. It was ok but definitely not worth all the hype.En savoir plus
