While getting my first oil change of the trip, I start chatting with an employee that tells me to check out this museum. It's a really cool place, but I need a tour guide. I don't have the attention span to read what all the places were used for. They had all the real deal vessels. Huge place and it's located at the airport.Baca selengkapnya

  • Gettysburg

    30 Agustus 2015, Amerika Serikat ⋅ ☀️ 28 °C

I didn't plan it out well, but I walked about 7 miles of Gettysburg National Park in cheap old navy flip flops. Not my best move, and I feel like it just wasn't my kind of park. A lot of monuments. I would need a tour guide to make it interesting for next time. I did talk to the reenactment actors. I learned some pretty cool stuff from them.Baca selengkapnya

This was the first time I got to use my America the beautiful pass. The security lady was super nice and punched out September for me, since they forgot to do it when I bought it. I was originally going to do a hike to get to a scenic view, but instead I met Anne and we walked the Appalachian trail going North for a while. We also cane across 5 backpackers on the trail. We talked to all of them for a little while. Two were hiking together said they had been out for two weeks and did about 200 miles already.Baca selengkapnya

This is the birthplace of "The Star-Spangled Banner." We were debating even going here, but then I realized that it's part of the NPS and I was able to use my pass for both of us. Some interesting history. The flag that we were holding is 1/9 the size of the one in the Smithsonian. Also our current flag is the 26th version. We walked around, took some pictures, and headed to lunch.Baca selengkapnya
