  • Dinner and boardwalk

    4. september 2015, Forente stater ⋅ ⛅ 24 °C

I went out to dinner with Harry and his family. They were so fun to talk to. The good was delicious. I had the crab cake tacos and sauteed spinach. Yummy. Then Harry and I walked the boardwalk at night. It's great to see it all lit up at night. I even got a picture when they put a smiley face on the Ferris wheel.Les mer

  • Fake palm trees

    5. september 2015, Forente stater ⋅ ☀️ 23 °C

Before I left, I had to take pictures of the fake trees all over the place. I thought they were so funny. They even cane in different colors. I headed out to NY to Yonkers and hit the tools hard. About $30 to get over there. I hung out with my uncle for a little while and then went to stay with my cousin and his girlfriend, Robby and Maria. Later that night we went out bowling and stayed up really late in the man cave.Les mer

  • Sandeman's tour

    6. september 2015, Forente stater ⋅ ☀️ 24 °C

Maria decided a good way to check out NYC was to do a walking tour like they did all over Europe. It actually worked out perfectly because I have never been to that part of the city. I got to see and learn a lot about the area. It started at the old customs house and ended at the world trade center.Les mer

  • Riding through Brooklyn

    6. september 2015, Forente stater ⋅ ☀️ 28 °C

After having NY pizza for lunch, we decided to bike to Coney Island. Although it was a nice ride and a good way to see a lot of Brooklyn, it was a real workout. Half way through we can't to the consensus that we were taking the subway back.Les mer

  • Lake time

    7. september 2015, Forente stater ⋅ ☀️ 31 °C

Robby, Maria, Alex, and I all headed out to the lake but it was super crowded. He drive to the other side and found a nice place to just hang out and enjoy the day. Robby kept hopping in and really enjoying the water. It was a bit too rocky for me to get into the lake.Les mer

  • Just relaxing

    7. september 2015, Forente stater ⋅ 🌙 27 °C

We grilled up some dinner and played a few rounds of pool. It was a cool bachelor house. The room was a bit small, so every now and then we had to make short stick shots. Good times.

  • Breakneck trail

    9. september 2015, Forente stater ⋅ ⛅ 31 °C

I just downloaded alltrails and found this hike. It was my first time climbing up the mountain. I didn't make it all the way to the top, because I couldn't find my way up. 700 feet is still a good distance up in the air. Pretty view.Les mer

  • Exploring Beacon

    9. september 2015, Forente stater ⋅ ⛅ 32 °C

I went looking for another trail to hike and came across this pool. Yes it was closed, but it was so hot out and no one was around. I jumped over the fence and cooled off. Very relaxing and of coarse I'm always pool/beach ready. I headed into town and checked out the quaint neighborhood.Les mer

  • FDR House

    10. september 2015, Forente stater ⋅ ☁️ 22 °C

I took the tour of the home. Apparently, he convinced his mom to add both wings and the third floor to the house for the growing family.

  • FDR library

    10. september 2015, Forente stater ⋅ ⛅ 23 °C

Interesting museum. Very inactive and educational. I didn't stay there that long, because I had other places to visit today. I was really entertained that the entrance is behind a glass barrier and that the FBI has such a huge file on Eleanor Roosevelt, because of her suspicious behavior.Les mer

  • Vanderbilt Mansion

    10. september 2015, Forente stater ⋅ ☁️ 24 °C

This is some of the highlights from the first floor. The house was well known for not allowing children to stay there. The guests participated in lush life including a seven coarse meal with watching wines.Les mer

  • Second floor

    10. september 2015, Forente stater ⋅ ☁️ 23 °C

Following traditions, men and women did not sleep together. The house was very grand, but the Vanderbilts did treat their staff good. The help ate the sane meals and were paid better than other employers. The tour guide even said that one person was left $250,000 upon the Vanderbilts passing.Les mer

  • Val-Kill Cottage

    10. september 2015, Forente stater ⋅ ☁️ 23 °C

This was Eleanor Roosevelt's home and retreat. It seemed very homey and cozy. The tour guide said she always preferred this house to the mansion across the way and being away from her mother-in-law.

  • Lake George

    11. september 2015, Forente stater ⋅ ⛅ 17 °C

We got up here, unpacked, and headed out to Golden Corral. I just had to have cotton candy and stuff my face. We got back and enjoyed our time around the campfire.

  • The resort

    12. september 2015, Forente stater ⋅ ☀️ 22 °C

I got to enjoy going to the gym with Vicky and Vinny. Then the girls headed out to the pool while the weather was nice. McKenzie got to eat olives off her fingers.
