Abbey Manor

We arrived to our hotel at Abbey Manor a bit jet lagged. Afterwards we went to Victoria Wharf for dinner.
Longmarket St

My mom and I took a few walking tours of downtown and Longmarket St. They informed us about some of the history and the still standing history between the race tension.
Table Mountain

I visited my first ever "new 7 wonders of the world" We took the cable car up to the top and look at all the views.
Bo-Kaamp

We took another walking tour, this time in the very colorful neighborhood.

I looked at all the incredible views and saw a few dassies sitting on the rocks.
Whale watching

We got up early to go whale watching. Did not get any pictures of whales, but we saw so many cape fur seals.
Penguin Sanctuary

After the whales, they took us to the penguin sanctuary. We got to see the man-made nest/homes. My mom bought one to donate to the sanctuary.
Cape Town

It was a rainy day and we explored the city on the hop on and off citysightseeing bus tour. We road it for all the stops taking in the sights and trying to stay dry.
Two Oceans Aquarium

After the bus tour we went to check out this aquarium with cool exhibits.
Victoria Wharf

We returned to Victoria Wharf, but we were very pleasantly surprised when we discovered the food market. Great selections and we sampled a few dishes.
Woodbury Amakhala Game Reserve

We arrived at our lodge to do a few days of safari on this game reserve.
First night safari

We saw a few animals on our first night. Mostly impalas and an old lonely buffalo.
Seeing elephants

We were up early to see elephants and a few babies. Also saw springbok.
Rhinos, kudu, and vervet monkies

We got to see animals everywhere.
Dinner and firepit

Dinners were delicious and a great firepit.
Seeing more elephants

We saw so many elephants. They walked right next to the Jeep.
Lion family

We got lucky enough to see the lion family. The mom, dad, and two cubs. The cubs were doing a few kills on the warthogs.
Giraffes, zebras, and ostriches

After the lions, we ate lunch with the giraffes walking all around us.
Leopards

We were out early and got to see the leopards on the reserve.
On our way to see buffalo

I asked to go see the buffalo, but there were all the way on the other side of the reserve. It was quite a drive over.

Nearly two hours away and we finally got to see the last of the big five, the buffalo.
