We left our anchorage by 7:30 this morning and had a pleasant crossing of Albemarle Sound. Not smooth but not rough. Our goal today was Elizabeth City. We arrived at 9:30am! Yes 9:30! We stopped at the free dock at the Christian University and stretched our legs and contemplated staying. But the high for today was 90 degrees 🥵 so we opted to keep going for the breeze. Elizabeth City BTW is VERY boat friendly. They have four free docks that allow docking for up to 48 hours. And there’s a group called Rose Buddies 🌹 who welcome boaters as they arrive.
