E- Lock 7

We spent the day in Schenectady getting groceries, haircuts and visiting. Said goodbye to Peter, Amae and Athen around 3:30 and landed on the wall of Lock 7 at 5:30. We are actually backtracking because we decided on a whim that we want to go the Champlain route instead to hit more of Canada. The Canada pass was a bit pricey and It will be easier for us to come back and do the Erie Canal at another time if we so choose… especially given we have connections in Schenectady. What’s nice about the NYS lock system is that the Empire State Trail (750 miles) parallels it so tonight Moki and I walked a section of it and tomorrow morning we will run some more of it. Good to stretch the legs. 7 miles today. Getting down to 48 degrees tonight. But hot weather is on the horizon.Weiterlesen
