We’ve been spring hopping the last couple days. Took Tom and Joyce to Rock Bluff and Gornto springs yesterday and Fanning Springs today. From Fanning Springs today we also walked across the street to Fort Fanning. Not much there and the history is pretty sordid. It was cold and drizzly rainy yesterday. Today was misty until about 11 then warmed up nice to t-shirt weather. Tonight we are anchored off Andrew’s WMA. We visited this area on our way upstream. It has good access to shore and trails… but small game hunting allowed thru Sunday. It’s 5pm as I write and blue sky just made an appearance. Should be nice tomorrow.Read more

Hi Betty, Carol, Jack and I enjoyed meeting you, Moki and Jim on our walk in the Lower Suwannee Refuge yesterday. Upon reading about your voyage and work, we realize that we have many common interests, friends and favorite places on the water. I'm a fisheries biologist, limnologist, like a kid in a mud puddle around our winter home in Cedar Key. We hope you avoided the cold front t-storms today and have a safe trip to Punta Gorda.
