Townshend flood control recreation area

This is a flood control dam. In the bar where I stopped for lunch there were old (50 yrs) newspapers on the wall telling about a dam that broke. This area is fantastically beautiful. You're surrounded by these little mountains all around, and to get to the recreation area you drive over the dam with this amazing view up and down the valley. There's something below the dam that I think stops salmon from going up any more.Read more
