This restaurant has a motel. Its 7:15 now, on a Tuesday, and this place is almost full. Huh. The motel, though, is in some disrepair. Oh well.

Sounds like we may not move for a while. Its rainy here and storms may be coming so I guess the captain doesn't want to move the tourists. Yesterday we got taken by a local to his house where he grows oysters in the estuary outside his house. He's a character and also seems to know a lot about a huge variety of subjects. The cook has worked on charters all around the world and has made us some fantastic food.

Overnight on the boat was very noisy. I think it was the boat banging against the anchor chain. This cove is sheltered on 3 1/2 sides so the boat hardly moved. So far its been a lot of unexpected experiences.Read more

For the people from elsewhere in the US this must have been a neat experience. We had a local and a sailing person join us. The locals use a wide variety of ways to make money. This one works at her father's business collecting sea creatures and preparing them for scholastic companies to distribute to schools. The guy is a sailing affectionado. We encounter many of them doing what we do.Read more

This place is excellent, really great renovation.

The trip wrapped up with a quick run to the boat's home port and some ice cream. Over the 5 days I was allowed to work pretty much everything on the boat, which was a lot of fun. Now I can put "reefed the for'sl while standing on the jib" to my resume.Read more

This area, at the northeast of the Bay of Fundy, has some flat land. There's a bunch of b&bs. They all look like regular houses in regular residential areas overlooking the bay. Locals hoping to supplement their income I imagine. The town Alma is a fishing village with lots of tourist charm.Read more

This is Hopewell Rocks Park https://maps.google.com/?cid=11013736612953691903 . The Rocks are the famous flowerpots in the bay. They did a very good job with the tourist amenities like parking, restaurant, shuttle, etc.Read more

This place is just off the farmland (possibly a floodplain?) overlooking the bay. I'm trying to figure out the property. The Inn part on the right is one big hallway with doors on both sides. Was the double wide the actual house and the 2 story building purpose built from scratch?Read more
