Cycling

Had a day cycling round.🚴♀️ Love the dedicated bike paths here, away from the traffic. Stopped for coffee ☕️and a sneaky cake🍰 before heading back to the campsite to chill and read Czytaj więcej

Keukenhof tulips

What a brilliant day. Amazing place. Arrived at 9am and walked 🚶♀️walked 🚶♂️ and walked! About 9 miles in all. Think we saw every single tulip! 🌷really recommend to anyone who likes gardens.
Amsterdam

Parked up over the river and took a free ferry into Centraal Station right in the heart of Amsterdam. Spent the next 10 hours exploring this hospitable city, good vibes. Did do a 75 minute boat ride Czytaj więcej
Street entertainer

Street entertainment in Amsterdam. Stood and watched for 10 mins to relax our weary legs!
Nature reserve

Left Amsterdam this morning, quick food stock up at Jumbo supermarket we headed north and stopped at lovely nature reserve. Egrets, herons, oyster catchers and terns. Evening stroll to meet the Czytaj więcej
Hoorn

Cycled along the bike path to Hoorn, 7 miles away, watching the geese, herons, egrets and spotted a single spoonbill. Stopped for coffee at the historic weighing house, now a cafe. Note the leaning Czytaj więcej
Enkhuizan

Left our lovely campsite and headed up to Enkhuizan to cross the causeway. Just before the crossing we noticed the zuiderzeemuseum, a museum devoted to preserving the cultural heritage from that Czytaj więcej
Arnhem

Travelled to Arnhem to go to the airborne museum about "operation market garden". Cycled to the museum and then walked through the town.
Oosterbeek airborne museum and cemetery

Another full day round the museums, now to watch "a bridge too far" again!
Private tour

Woke up to next a WW2 bunker. 2 men were opening it to show the school kids round, so mark went to have a word and in exchange for two coffees, he got a personal guided tour and then they took him to Czytaj więcej
Locks

Mark got up early to do spot of fishing and caught a large bream. Then off on our bikes over 4 bridges watching the continuous stream of enormous cargo ships go through the locks before cycling into Czytaj więcej
Chateau franchimont

Now on Belgium/German border in the Ardennes. Beautiful scenery and visited a 13th century château in various stages of renovation. Passed by our first belgium war museum "unfortunately " closed Czytaj więcej
Battle of Bulge museum and waterfalls

Visited a small independent museum recommended by our bunker guides which was a site of an important battle in WW2 at La Gleize, Belgium, very informative. Then off to Coo waterfalls for scenery and Czytaj więcej
Bastonge

Stayed the night by the "fox holes" just outside Bastogne , where the Americans hid from the Germans in one of the worst winters of the WW2 war. Up early to visit the bastogne war museum and the Czytaj więcej
Luxembourg

Had a couple of nights with some English campers, 2 came from cleethorpes and we can stay with them when we go to see auntie Jean! In Luxembourg all the public transport is free so off we go to Czytaj więcej

Did a lovely walk to these waterfalls.
Moselle river

Driving and walking along the Moselle river. Vines each side. Germany one side and Luxembourg the other.
Burtoncourt campsite

A couple of nights at this campsite to recharge our batteries which happened to have a fishing lake! Out with the bbq, table and chairs after a few nights on motorhome Park 4 the night. Quite a few Czytaj więcej
Mining museum

Starting to drive back home slowly through Luxembourg to full up with the cheap diesel. Happen to drive through mining communities and Mark spotted a musuem he fancied! Interesting informative to Czytaj więcej
Fond-de-gras steam railway

Trip on the steam train through the countryside, walk and coffee in the town then return on the ancient diesel. Looked liked a VW!
Camping le heron

After travelling and museumed out we booked into a lovely very quiet Campsite by a river for a couple of days relaxation, although still doing 10,000 steps away and cycling. Mark caught a lovely tench Czytaj więcej

Couple of days chilling, walking, cycling and fishing gradually making our way back home!
