Forth Bridge, Edinburgh

Seaton cliff top walk

Left our overnight stop at Tayport harbour overlooking the sea . Stopped on route for a hearty breakfast of a haggis roll .. you've got to do it! Then onto Seaton for a cliff top walk before the rainЧитать далее

Both up early 4am and Mark went off for a fruitless fishing session as beautiful morning. Sally keeping watch for the occasional dolphin and seals Then onto RSPB site by 9am. Plenty of sea birds andЧитать далее
Cruden Bay

Visited Cruden Bay and decided to stay as permitted to park for the night on the harbour for a donation. And people were mackerel fishing so, of course, Mark had to join then while I went walking!
Going up market!

We've decided to splash out & are actually staying on a campsite for a change. Staying on the Moray Firth which leads into Inverness & on to loch Ness. Lovely campsite right on the foreshore & aЧитать далее
Biking Dolphins!

Obviously it's us who have been biking, along the bay to the next beach village, lovely coffee break & back to our campsite - where we were dolphin spotting just offshore.
Last overnight on East Coast

Pitched up in Invergordon, alongside the estuary with at least 1/2 a dozen gas/oil rigs & as a contrast a huge luxury liner, which proceeded to disgorge hundreds of souls onto buses for trips inland,Читать далее

Nipped across, East to West, through some lovely rolling Highlands. Found another community pitch, £10 to stay right on the harbour (goes to the locals to maintain facilities) Walked around theЧитать далее
Sands campsite, Gairloch

Decided to book into the campsite for a night as such a lovely day. Beautiful campsite right in the dunes, our own individual space.
Isle of skye

Crossed the bridge into Skye and it started to rain! Disappointingly it continued. Managed a short walk to a waterfall, too busy generally!
Fort Augustus

Left Skye as was going to rain for the new few days and made our way to see if we could find Nessy! Lovely wander around Fort Augustus watching a large pleasure boat going through 4 locks and theЧитать далее
Oban and Ellenabeich

Early morning walk at Laggan locks before following the coastline. We stopped for a stroll and lunch in the busy town of Oban then onto the delightful small village of Ellenabeich which I loved.
Isle of Bute

Trumped!

Stayed on harbour overnight. Nice fish kiosk to sample the Cullen Skink. Heavy police presence and diverted inland away from Turnberry golf course where a particular fat yank was playing! Ended up onЧитать далее
Lionesses ⚽️

Leaving Scotland driving through the lake district and being a Sunday had to stop for roast dinner (and mackerelled out 🤣) found a stopover on farm to watch the euros final!
Farewell Scotland

Stopped en route in Cheshire, Anderton boat lift, unfortunately inoperative awaiting lottery handout for maintenance. Pleasant walk around before moving on closer to the flat lands!
River Trent

Last day/evening on the River Trent before the drive home. 2 large bream but no barbel. Nice walk along the river before the cows blocked the path!
Travel home in the morning!
