Comuna 13 Tour

Over the past ten years, Comuna 13 has undergone a complete transformation. Before it was one of the most dangerous neighborhoods in South America due to gang violence, police raids, cartels and illegal drug trafficking.

These days, Comuna 13 is associated with graffiti, street art performances and walking tours. New infrastructure, including a metro cable and six outdoor escalators 😎 transformed Comuna 13 to a very safe neighborhood.

It was really strange walking through that neighborhood. Before I only knew about that place from the Netflix documentary Narcos. They showed us pictures from a couple of years ago with policemen everywhere and how dangerous it was. To see this transformation and what they did to transform a whole neighborhood was really cool.Leia mais
