Tongariro Crossing aka hike to Mordor

The Tongariro Crossing is one of the most famous hikes in New Zealand. We started the hike at 6:30 in the morning when it was still dark. After 6 hours and 22,7 km, we arrived back at the car park. It was really an amazing hike, with the highlight being the volcano always next to us and the fuming mountains at the top showing us that this is an active volcano.Read more
