Goodbye Punta Mona

My time at Punta Mona has come to an end. What an amazing experience!🤩🏝 I came with a group of ~30 people from around the world to immerse myself for a month into the permaculture community living here on the beach in the jungle of Costa Rica.🐒

I formed deep bonds while going through individual and collective ups and downs. I had high highs, dancing, laughing, learning, and working together - and also low lows dealing with physical challenges and emotional triggers, rain, mud, bug bites, mold, a full moon - and everything in between. Most of the times I felt so grateful, excited, inspired and connected. This place is so beautiful and served to help me face some edges and grow in love.💗

I want to send gratitude to Punta Mona for holding this space of learning and allowing me to observe and be a part of the beautiful community of loving humans that exist here.🙏🏽

I am so happy to have made so many dozens of friends from around the world - incredible people who are working to envision reality differently and bring more authenticity and love to the planet.🌎 We definitely need more of this energy and intention in the world.Read more

After four weeks sleeping in the jungle this was my first night in an B&B. As you can see the jungle was again there but very artificial 😂

Well, sometimes you plan visiting a super cool place and than you have to deal with what you get. This time it was fog. However there was one little timeframe without fog to take some pictures 🥳

I’m currently staying in La Fortuna. The most prominent view you have in this town is the perfectly shaped Arenal volcano. It’s still an active one and you can see smoke coming out 🌋

Monteverde Cloudforest Walk

The walk through the Cloudforest was really magical. It’s so fascinating how nature keeps the equilibrium.

The last days have been really stimulating and the forest and the big trees really helped me to get grounded again.

Pachamama

The upcoming week I’m going to stay in another community called Pachamama. Compared to Punta Mona the here is more on Yoga, Spirituality and Silence.
However, the main reason for me coming here is because I’m doing a free dive course 🤿🤩

AIDA Free Dive Course

What an experience 🤩🤿 while I was at Pachamama I took a three day AIDA Free Dive Course.

We learned how to dive save and with the proper technique. I was able to hold my breath in the pool for four minutes and at the exam dive I went down to 20 meters in the ocean. It was a really great experience diving without any scuba gear 😊

On the first day we even got in a huge thunderstorm and a lightning striked right next to our boat.

After the three days I passed the physical and theoretical exam and I’m now a certified Level 2 free diver 😎Read more

Full Moon Cacao Ceremony

After meeting Chris who I’ve met at Punta Mona we went to a place called “The Sacred Place”.

Punta Mona Bro-Reunion

I was so happy to meet some of the guys I’ve met at Punta Mona again. Chris, Gabo, Amit and I stayed a couple of days at a nice place up the hills of Santa Teresa.

We had so much deep conversations and the view was just incredible and I saw one of the most beautiful sunsets in my life.Read more

Playa Uvita & The Whale Tail

I booked an Airbnb right at the beach so I could swim, watch the sunset and enjoy this beautiful Uvita beach.

Well… after I walked for five minutes on the beach I saw two quads racing towards me. The Rangers with guns told me this is a National Park and is close already and I can’t just walk on the beach and I have to leave immediately. I left 😅

The cool thing about this beach is that the two currents create a whale tail shape of sand which you can see on the first picture I took from the Internet 😇Read more

I stayed three nights at Drake Bay. A very remote and small village and finally a place with mir locals than tourists 👍

While I’m there I basically want to rest and enjoy the calmness of this area.

Isla de Coiba Snorkeling Tour

Today I went on a snorkling tour at “Isla de Coiba” which is an island about a 45 minute boat ride from Drake Bay. On our way we saw lots of dolphins who followed us.

After we finished snorkeling the boat took us to this beach as a surprise. Lucky me 😅 because I originally planned on hiking the three hour trail to see this beach 😎

Playa Colibri

In the meanwhile the word Colibri has a special meaning to me. Besides the fact that I find those birds fascinating, the name of the room I got at Punta Mona was Colibri. At Pachamama, the second community I stayed the name of my room was… Colibri 😀🤗.

This morning I came across the sign “Playa Colibri” which for me was as well a sign to check it out.

To my surprise this beach was so beautiful and calm. Exactly what I needed this morning 🙏 even a turtle came right to the beach to say good morning 😀Read more

I spend my last days in Costa Rica pretty relaxed in Puerto Jimenez. My accommodation has a great view and I made friends with some lizard 🦎 in front of my room.

Quick 45 minute domestic flight to get to the San José International Airport 😎 from where I’ll have a connecting flight to Panama 🇵🇦.

I have to say Costa Rica surprised me! The only reason I started my journey in Costa Rica was because I wanted to live at Punta Mona for a month so I didn’t really do a lot of research about the country before. Now almost three month later and seeing so many beautiful places I can say that Costa Rica is soooooo beautiful and a wonderful country. The lush green jungle, the beaches, the friendly people and the diversity of having a caribbean and pacific side. Not to forget the amazing food, chocolate and coffee 😍

During my three hour layover I met Leó at the airport 🤩 We both got to know each other two month ago at Punta Mona and he took the same flight to Panama - what a “coincidence” 😀

The flight was very good and it felt surreal to fligh through the clouds ☁️

The next three nights I’m staying in a nice hotel 😇 and then I’ll welcome my first visitor from Germany 🥳 to go on a little Panama roadtrip with.Read more

I'm super happy to have my first German friend visting me :-) It's Dilay and our first stop is a little surf town in the south of Panama. Here we went surfing and celebrated Dilays birthday 🥳 🎂
