  • Aloha Hawaii Big Island

    July 4, 2024 in the United States ⋅ ☁️ 22 °C

Yesterday I arrived on the big island of Hawaii 🌺 I’m staying in an Airbnb that is in the middle of a farm surrounded by lots of plants.

Today I also checked out two Coffee places as this I my favorite thing to do when I arrive at a new place and also visited the Pu'uhonua O Honaunau National Historical Park.Read more

  • A childhood dream comes true 🚁

    July 6, 2024 in the United States ⋅ ☁️ 24 °C

Since I was a little kid I was facinated by helicopters. I watched all Medicopter 117 episodes, I played the computer game to fly a helicopter to rescue people and with 14 I bought my first RC helicopter. 23 years later it was finally the time to go on my first helicopter tour.

I can't describe how amazing this tour was. Flying over the vulcanic island along the coast with multiple waterfalls and being in awe of the surreal colors of the landscape.

The highlight of the tour was a landing at the bottom of a waterfall that is not accessible by foot and only by helicopter or boat. It was just insane that the piliot was able to land the helicopter in such a narrow place in between of the trees and the cliff.

One bummer was however that I got the seat with the worst view to take videos and the videos taken by the helicopter weren’t really good quality to capture how beautiful it was in reality 🤷‍♂️

  • Sunset Kayak Tour

    August 13, 2024 in the United States ⋅ 🌙 30 °C

This evening I went on a Kayak Tour. Inside the bay was a lot of bioluminescence living organisms and jelly fish. It's pitty I couldn't take photos of it while paddling. The highlight on this tour was seeing a glowing dolphin while it was swimming next to my kayak :-DRead more

  • Kennedy Space Center & Rocket Launch

    August 14, 2024 in the United States ⋅ ⛅ 34 °C

Today I was visiting the Kennedy Space Center. I knew that the rockets and spaceships are huge :-) but seeing actual spaceships in real life was mind blowing. They are sooooo gigantic and the pictures can't really show how massive they are. This was really a special experience seeing real spaceships that have been in space with real people 😁

The next day I was also lucky to witness a "small" SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket launch. At first it was just a small rocket in the distance but after 30 seconds the sound arrived and I could hear and feel the power of the rocket.

  • 1212 Days Anniversary

    August 18, 2024 in the United States ⋅ ☁️ 29 °C

Today marks a milestone in my life! 1212 days of traveling the world. As I sit down to reflect on this journey, my heart overflows with gratitude for everything I've experienced, learned, and lived through during these unforgettable days.

When I set out on this adventure, I could have never imagined the depth of transformation that awaited me. Each destination has left its unique mark on my soul. Each place, each moment, each person I've met has taught me something invaluable about the world and about myself.

But it hasn't always been easy. There have been challenges, moments of doubt, and times when the weight of solitude pressed heavily on my shoulders. Yet, in those difficult times, I found resilience. I learned that every challenge is a lesson, every setback a stepping stone, and every moment of loneliness an opportunity for self-discovery.

The people I've met along the way have been the true gems of this journey. Strangers who became friends, guides who turned into mentors, and fellow travelers who became companions in this shared journey. Each one has enriched my life, sharing their stories, their laughter, and sometimes even their homes. The connections I've made have shown me the beauty of human kindness and the incredible diversity that exists within our shared humanity.

Food, too, has been a journey of its own. Every dish has been a taste of culture, tradition, and history. I've learned that food is not just food. It's a language, a way of connecting with people, and a window into the soul of a place.

As I look back on these 1212 days, I'm filled with a deep sense of gratitude. Grateful for the places I've been, the people I've met, the cultures I've immersed myself in, and the countless lessons I've learned along the way. Grateful for the good times that filled my heart with joy, and for the tough times that strengthened my spirit.

This journey has been about more than just seeing the world. It's been about growing, learning, and becoming a better version of myself. And as I continue on this path, I carry with me the wisdom and memories of these incredible 1212 days, looking forward to the adventures that still await.

Thank you to everyone who has been a part of this journey, whether you've traveled with me, hosted me, or simply followed my stories from afar. Your support, love, and encouragement have made this journey more meaningful.
