• The First Rain

    12 november 2020, Israël ⋅ ☀️ 22 °C

Coming from a country where half of the year is heavy rain and tropical storms my relationship with the rain has had lot of ups and downs. I know the rain brings life and makes Costa Rica the green paradise that it is, but couldn't avoid get annoyed by the rain when very often you go somewhere and arrive sucking wet.
Often when it was raining and I was at home it was nice to sleep and relax with the sound and the smell of wet soil; but also I often thought on homeless people, stray pets that were not able to find a proper refugee or on people in extreme poverty that their houses were probably struggling due to the heavy rain.

Now in my time in Israel, rain is quiet like a extravagant thing, after a rough summer with really high temperatures everyone is excited for the upcoming rains, - that I would say are also strong - but they're also limited and allow the nature to flourish again.
