    The beggining of the Covid19

    It has'nt been an easy time for anyone, the beggining of the pandemic was specialy hard for me, I was studying a lot for entering to an intensive hebrew course and got cancelled as everything else due to the novel coronavirus and a lot of other fixed plans had to be change. Anyway, I had to adapt to the new circunstances and find solutions to the problems that corona caused me back then. Ended up in Haifa in a renovation project and got a supportive corona family.

    No ha sido un momento fácil para nadie, el comienzo de la pandemia fue especialmente difícil para mí, estaba estudiando mucho para ingresar a un curso intensivo de hebreo y lo cancelaron como todo, debido al nuevo coronavirus y hubieron muchos otros planes que tuve que cambiar. De todos modos, tuve que adaptarme a las nuevas circunstancias y buscar soluciones a los roblemas que me provoco el corona en ese entonces.     Traditional Hebrew Writting Workshop

    With Parchment, ink and feathers I learned from a former Torah Sofer about the handwriting tradition, its rules and the significance of the holy hebrew letters.

    The Hebrew alphabet consist in 22 letters, each letter has a name not a sound, for example: is no A B C D, is Alef, bet, guimel, dalet, hei...

    To be honest I'm a bit proud of the results.

    Con pergamino, tinta y plumas aprendí de un ex Torá Sofer sobre la tradición de la escritura a mano, sus reglas y el significado de las sagradas letras hebreas.

    El alfabeto hebreo consta de 22 letras, cada letra tiene un nombre, no un sonido, por ejemplo: no es A B C D, es Alef, bet, guimel, dalet, hei ...

    End of 5 months in the Hebrew Course

    The Hebrew high school is over after 5 months of intense learning.
    Got to learn a whole new alphabet, turned my brain upside down writing from right to left ,and already catching up some conversations from the locals on the bus. When I just arrived, the signs and all were just some hieroglyphs, -I mean still they are, -but reminds me of when I was an annoying kid excited for reading all the signs in the street when I just learned how to read my mother tongue many years ago. Still a loooooooooooottttt to learn but we'll see how it goes.

    Aprendí un alfabeto completamente nuevo, volteé mi cerebro escribiendo de derecha a izquierda y ya me puse al día con algunas conversaciones de los locales en el autobús. Cuando recién llegué, los letreros y todo eran solo jeroglíficos, -Quiero decir, todavía lo son, -pero me recuerda a cuando era una nina molesta emocionada por leer todos los letreros en la calle cuando recién aprendí a leer a mi lengua materna hace muchos años.     MASADA מצדה

    Masada is an UNESCO World Heritage Site. The King Herod built it as his Winter Palace, but it was later used as a refugee for the Jewish Rebels who fled from the Roman Empire. History said that there were living approximately 1000 jews living there, and when the Romans discovered their refuge they beganto build a ramp up with the purpose to access the place and kill them. ( you can still see from above where the roman camps were located). The Romans were using also jewish slaves for the construction and for that reason the people up in Masada did'nt attack them but instead, the head of the rebels decided to commit a massive suicide, where 7 men killed everybody up and then committed suicide.
    Thus they defended their freedom and did not cause any harm to their fellow Jews.

    I've been in Masada two times, the first one I climbed up before the sunrise with my friend Jeff and the second one I went with Leo.

    Masada es un sitio del patrimonio mundial de la UNESCO. El rey Herodes lo construyó como su Palacio de Invierno, pero más tarde fue utilizado como refugio de los rebeldes judíos que huyeron del Imperio Romano. La historia decía que vivían aproximadamente 1000 judíos viviendo allí, y cuando los romanos descubrieron su refugio comenzaron a construir una rampa con el propósito de acceder al lugar y matarlos. (todavía se puede ver desde arriba donde estaban los campamentos romanos). Los romanos también utilizaban esclavos judíos para la construcción y por eso la gente de Masada no los atacó, sino que el jefe de los rebeldes decidió cometer un suicidio masivo, donde 7 hombres mataron a todos y luego se suicidaron.     YAD VASHEM: Holocaust Musuem

    A visit to the Holocaust Musuem is a most in Jerusalem, even if you think you already know what happened.
    I find very valuable the amount of information about the anti semitic propaganda before the beggining of the war, for example: board games about how to kick out the jews, children books about how harmful and evil the jews are, can help you to understand how it develops from a certain racism and anti semitism to a gigantic genocide in which 6 million people were killed.
    The building itself is a piece of art; the path you follow through all the rooms it could really trasmit you how dark and terrific were these events but at the end when you exit the building, a beatiful view of the Jerusalem Mountains is waiting , representing the reborn of the people of Israel and the return from exile.

    I read one day that If we held a moment of silence for every victim of the Holocaust we would be silent for eleven and a half years.

    Encuentro muy valiosa la cantidad de información sobre la propaganda antisemita antes del comienzo de la guerra, por ejemplo: juegos de mesa sobre cómo echar a los judíos, libros para niños sobre lo dañinos y malvados que son los judíos, pueden dar una vision panoramica acerca ade cómo se desarrolla desde cierto nivel de racismo a un genocidio gigantesco en el que murieron 6 millones de personas.
    El edificio en sí es una obra de arte; El camino que sigue a través de todas las habitaciones realmente podría trasmitirle cuán oscuros y terribles fueron estos eventos, pero al final cuadno se sale del edificio encuentras una hermosa vista de las montañas de Jerusalén que representan el renacimiento del pueblo de Israel y el regreso del exilio.

    When I saw a Camel for the first time

    My cousin Larissa was in a Euro trip and she decided to come to Israel with her boyfriend Frank. Larissa is a faithful christian and she enjoyed a lot to visit all the historic places connected with Christianity in Jerusalem. They came exact for my birthday and we went to the Dead Sea to celebrate. There was my first ''Camel sighting''

    It's hard to resume all my experiences in the Holy City and how I made the weirdest place I've been my home.

     Whoever that knows me well will know that I am not a religious person, however, is a topic that makes me really curious from the perspective of human history and behavior and is because of the Religion the humans have experienced the most deep compassion for their equals and have also caused the most bloody and destructive wars.
    Jerusalem itself is the belly bottom of the three abrahamic, monoteist religions: Judaism, Chrsitanism and Islam.
    For Jews, Jerusalem is their Historic Capital, the sacrest place where the two formers temples used to stand before the Romans expulsated them from their land.
    For Christians, the Holy City is the place where Jesus was crucified and ressurrected by God.
    For Muslims is the third sacrest place, after Mecca and Medina, is the place where profet Muhamed ascend to heaven and was given the second pillar of Islam, to pray five times a day.

    Jerusalem is a unique place, full of spirituality but also tension, culture, beatiful hills and infinite olives trees.

    Es difícil resumir todas mis experiencias en la Ciudad Santa y cómo hice el lugar más extraño en el que he estado mi hogar.

     Quien me conozca bien sabrá que no soy una persona religiosa, sin embargo, es un tema que me da mucha curiosidad desde la perspectiva de la historia y el comportamiento humano y es por la religión que los humanos han experimentado la más profunda compasión por sus iguales. y también han provocado las guerras más sangrientas y destructivas.
    Jerusalén es el ombligo de las tres religiones abrahámicas y monoteístas: el judaísmo, el cristianismo y el islam.
    Para los judíos, Jerusalén es su Capital Histórica, el lugar más sagrado donde solían estar los dos antiguos templos antes de que los romanos los expulsaran de su tierra.
    Para los cristianos, la Ciudad Santa es el lugar donde Jesús fue crucificado y resucitado por Dios.
    Para los musulmanes es el tercer lugar más sagrado, después de Meca y Medina, es el lugar donde el profeta Muhamed asciende al cielo y se le entrega el segundo pilar del Islam, rezar cinco veces al día.

    Jerusalén es un lugar único, lleno de espiritualidad pero también de tensión, cultura, hermosas colinas e infinitos olivos.    Leia mais

    Sea of Galilee: Tiberias

    Something very fascinating about Israel and this region in general is the amount of historical and ancient places. The Sea of Galilee is not only a body of water but also is the place where according to christianity , Jesus performed many of his miracles, including walking on water, multiplicating the fish for feeding five thousand people.

    I went in this ocassion to Tiberias, Tabgha, Capernaum, and a place in the Jordan River where it is presumed that Jesus was baptized.

    Algo muy fascinante sobre Israel y esta región en general es la cantidad de lugares históricos y antiguos. El Mar de Galilea no es solo un cuerpo de agua, sino que también es el lugar donde según el cristianismo, Jesús realizó muchos de sus milagros, incluido caminar sobre el agua, multiplicar los peces para alimentar a cinco mil personas.

    Golan Heights

    Went to the Golan Heights exactly the day where a heatwave started. Still made couple hikes, one to a river and the other one to a nature reserve with a waterfall, ending the expedition in a Winery to recover the breath and to cool down a bit with the company of a german girl I met in the hostel.

    The Golan Heights are beatiful and nowdays it's a very peaceful place although this land was captured by Israel in 1967 from Siria after a war with multiple countries including Siria, the only trace of war are the several fences around that advice you not to walk there for the underground mines that could still be in the area.
    The Golan Heights represents a strategic place for defense and security due to the high altitude in the site.

    Fui a los Altos del Golán exactamente el día en que comenzó una ola de calor. Aún así realicé un par de Hikes, uno a un río y el otro a una reserva natural con una catarata, finalizando la expedición en una fabrica de Vinos para recuperar el aliento y refrescándome con la compañía de una chica alemana que conocí en el hostel.

    Los Altos del Golán son hermosos y hoy en día es un lugar muy pacífico, aunque esta tierra fue capturada por Israel en 1967 después de una guerra con varios países, incluido Siria, el único rastro de guerra son las varias vallas alrededor que le aconsejan a uno que no camine allí debido a las minas subterráneas que aún podrían estar en la zona.
